Advocate Mathari Manyisa is a self-motivated, diligent and dynamic legal practitioner with a strong background in litigation, legal research and advocacy. She was admitted as an advocate in 2021 after completing her pupillage under the mentorship of Adv. Tshepo Gwen Sibanyoni and has since established herself as a versatile junior advocate.
Her legal experience spans across various fields including constitutional and administrative law, family law, civil and criminal litigation, commercial law, and land reform. She has a particular interest in matters involving public interest litigation, mediation, and quasi-judicial dispute resolution.
Mathari is currently pursuing her Master of Laws (LLM) and serves as a panelist (mediator) for the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform. She is committed to access to justice and often appears in both the Magistrates’ Courts and the High Court.
In addition appearing in both the Lower and Higher Courts, she also contributes to access to justice through alternative dispute resolution and panel work. She has worked extensively on statelessness issues, permanent residence applications, and refugee status matters, ensuring vulnerable individuals receive fair legal representation and access to justice.
Advocate Manyisa holds an LLB from North West University and completed her pupillage under the mentorship of Adv Tshepo Gwen Sibanyoni. Her advocacy style is defined by sharp legal reasoning, precision in drafting, and a client-centred approach to legal matters.
